| Crossing under I-70 between Rifle and Lacy, Colorado. The gray container railcars at the end of the train are hauling "dirty dirt", or low level nuclear waste, which will eventually make its way to Cisco, UT via the Cisco Turn to be trucked farther south to Banning, UT. |

| At Tunnel, the canyon narrows and leaves
only enough space for the railroad, the Colorado River, and four lanes
of I-70.
The MDVGJX-19 was slowing again to meet Sunday's "Minturn Local" on its way to Lacy with DRGW 3118 & 3109. Unfortunately, the Local caught us by surprise and the shot of seven Rio Grande units at West Tunnel, CO will just have to remain as a memory. |
