| The Herzog ditching train was already connected to the thirty gondolas that were placed on the east end of the Wolcott siding when the work train arrived. They either have the line all cleaned up or have decided they can't find it in the snow. Of the thirty gondolas left at Wolcott on Nov. 3rd, ten of them were loaded with old ties and scrap by the Herzog train. |

After transferring the EOT from the Minturn cars to the end of the cars at Wolcott, the work train moved to the west switch at Wolcott and backed up the siding to pick up the Herzog unit and 30 cars on the east end. UPD 161 got on the rails to pick up the brakeman and conductor and get them to the front of the train quicker than walking. Because the siding and main are split apart at Wolcott, they met at the crossing. |
| The sun peeked out from under the clouds just before sunset to light the high bluffs along the valley. If you look closely, you will see the six units of the Herzog train in the train. |
