BNSF 4518 East leads two other BNSF C44-9W's just east of the siding at Baring next to the Skykomish river. |
| This is the same train as above coming over the Gaynor trestle which is a few miles east of the East Portal of the Cascade Tunnel and the siding at Berne. |

Two BNSF SD40-2's and a EMD SD60 (which is just out of the picture) are about to enter the West Portal of the 7.8 mile long Cascade Tunnel. |
| A better view of the Gaynor trestle with another set of BNSF C44-9W's leading a westbound train. This trestle spans a deep and narrow river gorge and is one of the better sites on Stevens pass. |

Last but not least, a lone BNSF C44-9W is working as distributed power on the end of a long eastbound container train heading into the Cascade Tunnel. |
